Yes i agree the pay restaurants are well worth it to beat the queues. I tried jasmine garden ($15), paniolos ($10), le bistro ($15) and the terpanakyi ($25), Jasmine garden and le bistro was my favourite. however we found the Alizar and grand pacific to have equally nice food and these ones are free and have waiter service.

There are five restaurants that have no cover charges. Two are waiter service. There is a large buffet area with an outdoor section, also pool side buffet area. Also a 24hr burger type sit down service. The other restaurants operate a cover charge, between 10% to 25%depending on which one you go to. Most of these also operate a 2 for 1 charge for early evening sittings. We have just returned from the Jade and found that especially on sea days, the buffet areas could be very busy and also the two main restaurants could have long queues. We often chose on these occasions to pay the extra cover charges and pre book for evening meal. We didnt go to all the extra charge restaurants, but the ones we did try were very good.Especially Cagneys and the chinese.Well worth the extra.
