NCL Announce Five Unique Nightclubs for F3 ShipsNorwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced its very own vision for new night-club experiences on the line’s Freestyle Cruising F3 ships, which will debut in 2010. The nightclubs on F3 ships will vary from Miami to Ibiza-style venues and will feature unique experiences, never seen before at sea. Five of the cruise line’s new venues were revealed at Ceaser’s Palace, Las Vegas, to press, local travel partners, consumers and NCL’s Partnership 2.0 Advisory Board. "There is nothing ordinary about these ships. The F3's are unconventionally extraordinary," said Colin Veitch, NCL's president and CEO. "Every experience on board will be unique and like no other. F3 won't have massive void spaces and rooms only used for one thing. What's particularly unique about these spaces is they will have multiple uses - sunning, bowling, dining and, of course, party playgrounds. But this is just the beginning. We have a lot more to reveal in the upcoming months so stay tuned." The five venues that were announced this week include the cruise industry’s first ice bar; POSH Beach Club, which offers an adults-only setting at the very top of the cruise ship; Halo, the Über Bar which is a private bar and lounge in the ship-within-a-ship villa complex area; Bliss Ultra Lounge with a four-lane bowling alley and Spice H20 – an adults-only pool deck experience to rival the energy of Vegas. In more detail, the separate venues are: NCL’s Ice Bar – Inspired by the ice bars in Scandinavia, this will be one of only fourteen ice bars in the world. The frozen chamber of iced vodka will be set in LED lighting that will change from blue to green and purple – imitating the Northern Lights and a more arctic setting. The bar features walls, tables, a bar, stools, glasses and sculptures that are all made from ice. It will accommodate twenty-five guests in total and to enter, cruise guests will pay a fee on the door with a drink included. POSH Beach Club – this club is described as the best nightlife, day or night. Guests can purchase a POSH pass for either the day or the week and will go in a glass lift to reach the exclusive outdoor complex, which is styled with Mediterranean touches. In the day, cruisers can chill out on cushioned day-beds and in private cabanas or go for a dip in the 35 ft. long cascading waterfall. At night, POSH becomes an open-air nightclub with VIP bottle-service and a DJ. Halo, the Über Bar - This bar will be located on the private deck sixteen and will showcase the best spirits from around the world to the best art and jewellery available to purchase. LED screens, music videos and private gaming tables with baccarat and blackjack add to the exclusive and sexy feel of this adult-only clubbing experience. Bliss Ultra Lounge and Nightclub – NCL brings its already popular Bliss, which has featured on Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Gem back to F3 due to popular demand. Bliss includes the bowling alley set at sea located on deck seven with a Las Vegas feel. At night the clubs transforms into a hip ultra-lounge with plasma screens, shadow dancers and non-stop music. Bliss features NCL's popular White Hot Night, dance party set in a wonderland of white. Guests are encouraged to wear white to the party and they can purchase specially designed ‘white hot’ t-shirts and feather boas. Bliss on the F3 cruise ships will also feature gaming tables with dealers. Spice H20 – the club infused with Asian and Latin influences. This adults only club on decks fifteen and sixteen has massive LED screens which will display vibrant video images from flamenco dancers to raging bulls. In the day, cruise guests can lie on the lounge beds around the pool and listen to chill-out Asian music with Asian-inspired cuisine adding to the experience. |
