NCL Reveal Improvements
NCL will be rejuvenating their on-board amenities fleet-wide following a £2 billion investment in the cruise line from Apollo Management. Norwegian Jade, debuting on 30th May in Southampton, will be the first cruise ship in the fleet to see improvements, with the rest of the fleet to be finished by 1st June. The enhancements will include: - New menus, Lavazza coffee in all Java Cafes and top suites, a welcome aboard glass of sparkling wine, plasma menu boards, a world class salad bar, lobster in every speciality restaurant every night and improved service in all restaurants
New and extended room service menus, pillow upgrades, upgraded linens, expanded mini-bar options, bathrobes in all balcony and mini suites as well as priority reservation and reception hotlines Suites and villas will receive all of the above as well as feather pillows, NCL branded bedding collection, MP3 player connections, pillow menus, customised canapé and fruit menus, bottle of Moet & Chandon White Star champagne on embarkation, VIP breakfast and lunch in Cagney’s and special colour key-cards Enhanced educational, lifestyle and entertainment programmes on all cruises, new library with complimentary tea and coffee as well as plasma screens, enhanced nightlife and pool deck experiences, improved teen centres and increased flexibility of Kids Crew hours
UK general manager Stephen Park said UK passengers will be among the first to benefit from these upgrades. “It is critical for NCL to appeal to the new generation of cruise holidaymakers, while retaining and engaging our loyal customers. Cruise holiday expectations are higher these days and Freestyle 2.0 will further position NCL as the Freestyle Cruising innovator” he said.
