our first cruise ,and all expectations were surpassed on the "GEM". the ship was fantastic as were the staff,entertainment,and food was excellent,with lots of choice.we did shore excursions to rome,pompeii.pisa which were all well organised and if i was going to be picky the tour guides although entertaining did not speak the best english so had to struggle to understand them sometimes ,but did not take away the brilliant sights esp. rome and pompeii . would definitely cruise with ncl again the best holiday we have had by a long way" freestyle"cruising is exactly what is says on the tin BRILLIANT,
