We went on our first ever cruise as a retirement present to each other. Our first impressions were very good, we embarked very quickly, although the stateroom was not ready until 2 (we did arrive on board quite early) we went to the Raffles restaurant where lunch was available, and then just after 2 we made our way to our cabin, which, considering our first time on board we found very easily. Once inside we were amazed at how much space there was, it was immaculately clean, we had a king size bed and felt at home immediately. We unpacked and went to explore the ship. It was a lovely cruise ship, we went under our own steam to every port of call and can honestly say that we enjoyed it very much. We shall definitely cruise again next year, although I think any other cruise ship will have a lot to live up to. The staff were very attentive, the entertainment was good, different each night and there was plenty to do on board. We cruised for six nights onboard Norwegian Spirit NCL on September 7th 2008 for six nights from New York into Canada and Boston and then back to new York.
