We recently spent 7 nights onboard the Norwegian Crown Cruise Ship. We boarded the ship in New York. Having never cruised before we found the whole customs/boarding procedure very easy and everyone was very helpful.
As soon as we were on the ship the staff were all so happy and friendly.
My husband and i were with our 18year old son, and we had a special reason to be on the ship as our daughter is on of the dancers onboard, as one of the Jean Ann Ryan Dancers.
Our cabin was spotlessly clean and larger than i had expected it to be.
The daily newsletter was very informative and easy to follow.
We were particularly impressed by the fact that everywhere you went on the ship you were expected to sanitise your hands which became normal practise, and as far as we know prevented anyone suffering from the dreaded stomach upsets!
We were spoilt for choice as far as food was concerned as all the restaurants had so much to offer. The staff on the ship were without exception so friendly and helpful and all made such a fuss of us when they learnt that we were parents of one of their colleagues. The staff all get on so well together also.
The food was delicious and well presented whichever restaurant we chose to eat in, and always so much of it, much to our sons delight!
The entertainment was first class. The cruise director, Clint, was very friendly and very funny and so good at his job. We saw an entertainer called Rudi who was exceptional and a brilliant singer called Jane Powell.
The Jean Ann Ryan company were brilliant and so very professional. The five female dancers were all english and all highly trained. The shows were so entertaining and so high energy, and each night was a different show. After the shows they received many many compliments from people who were used to cruising and going to the theatre, and they were told time and time again that they were the best they had seen. All the dancers and singers were always happy to chat to people and pose for photographs with them.
We travelled to Bermuda and found it to be a very beautiful, unspoilt place. Everywhere was so clean and the people were very welcoming. Obviously we were very lucky as our daughter acted as our tour guide.
The weather throughout our trip was perfect and our sailing was very calm.
We were so impressed with everything on our holiday and have recommended it to many of our friends. WE WOULD DEFINATELY GO AGAIN!
