i am soory to diagree with other peaple obout the ncl ship on the 27th june ,but i thought the sevice was not good had to wait to long for drinks ,also never had a main resturant close at 8 30am so could not sit down to a nice breakfast ,had no one to turn down the bed at night and give clean towels ,did not enjoy the shout show at night ,it was not good westend shows no sets and dancers ,will never go on an american ship again the dount now how to cater for the english ,also to finish off i came home with a sickness bug ,

I cruised the med on the Gem this July and had an absolutely fab family holiday. I have only cruised on the QM2 previously and although the NCL Gem was a totally different experience, I found it equally as enjoyable.

Your comments do not surprise me in the slightest. We travelled NCL (way back in 1998 in the Caribbean) and it seems that standards have dropped considerably. We had no problem with the ships cleanliness, but the food was awful. They kept advertising it "as the best food at sea" American ships cater for Americans, Italians for Italians ad infinitum. We would never travel with NCL again or recommend them to anybody.
