My mums 1st cruise at 84!!She loved it. I took her own wheel chair and all the staff onboard the Jewel and at the port of Dover could not be more helpful, they were brillant. We only had an inside cabin as it was a late decision to go but it was ok and the bathroom/shower had plenty of space, the stewards were very efficient and kept everywhere spic and span.
A very busy ship, lots of well behaved children and adults of all ages including a lovely group of ladies having a hen party.
I have been before with NCL and liked the freestyle eating arrangements so we ate in the Tsars dining room one night and the garden buffet room the other. The Cirque Dijon show was fantastic!!! so professional. All in all good value for money.
The only complaint was the standard of the main meal in the Tsars, my mum had steak and to be honest it was tasteless and my lamb was not much better, still that was the only bit of a moan...the rest of the week end was great and my mum wants to know when I can take her again...for a bit longer next time.
Quality of Food
As said above...The buffet was nice, a good variety....would have liked something a more special in the dining rooms. I overheard a comment from a passenger saying...'I can eat chicken breast at home you would have thought they could have come up with something a bit more imaginative'.
Entertainment
Did not fancy saturdays shows so could not comment, but the Cirque Dijon was great.
