My Husband & I cruise anything from 4 - 6 months a year and we love it. We have travelled extensively on Royal Carribean (RCCL) right up to diamond level, in addition we've cruised many many times with Celebrity and 4 times on the Qm2 but with our last cruise we decided not to strick to these 3 and venture out and we are so delighted we did - we went initially because of the ports of call but were more than impressed when we boarded NCL, We had a great time on the Jewel it's a fabulous ship, wonderfully decorated, and extremely well laid out. We were very pleasantly surprised. Internet in your room plus all the latest technology including the wii consoles in the red, blue & green room plus sitting areas with funky sofas etc. The food was really great as well - the major difference is its free style dining but you have 5 separate restaurants YES FIVE to choose from each night then you have 6 or so concession restaurants approx $20 each but normally between 5 & 6 you get 2 for 1 deals if you prefer. In the Casino they give FREE DRINK to the players, and they print out vouchers rather than having loads of coins drop out of the machines. The shower is a sliding door rather than a curtain that you get wrapped up in LOL - the opening show with the in-house singers & dancers was probably the best we've ever seen - excellent. We would definitely travel with this cruise line again. On the Norwegians cruise line website the cabins & public rooms are as you see them - very new and really lovely.
