Where do I start, this was a late booking due to unforeseen problems with a relative in Canada and so we decided to take a trip to Alaska while we were in Canada, surprisingly everything went very smoothly with the booking. We had not cruised with NCL before this time. The booking in was as smooth as could be expected , considering the American security checks. The ship was immaculate and a sight to behold. We started out with the inention of a relaxed holiday and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was as good and as plentiful as any other ship we have been on and completely at the diners convenience, the service in the dining rooms was very good. We endured variations in the weather as could be expected at this time of the year, but the ship coped well and was well prepared for all weather. We availed ourselves of several trips in Alaska and we were thoroughly delighted with them, from whale watching to train rides as well as local shopping. Back on board the stateroom accomodation was spacious and satisfactory and very well appointed. The ships crew very efficient and competent as proved by the Captain when he took the ship into a narrow inlet to see a glacier at close quarters and spun it around with room to spare, exhilerating! All in all a very satisfactory cruise complemented by a very competent cruise director who performed his job well with the aid of a magnificent ships company.
